Kosrae is the fourth of the Micronesian islands. Right in the middle of the Pacific. Almost as far from Guam as it is from Hawaii and Australia. From any direction, you need to hop quiet a few islands to reach it.
Kosrae is therefore the least visited (major) Micronesian island - although it is arguably the most beautiful one.

Here are some of our favorite skiing place in Japan. It was not easy to convince biased European Alps skiers that skiing on a Pacific Island with a population that loves to stick together, to travel at the same time (i.e. to "crowd in"), and to pay outrageous prices could be good. But it happened! Skiing in Japan is excellent!<br>
Nozawa, between Nagano and Niigata (three hours from Tokyo) is one of the oldest and best.

Most people would avoid east Izu. Huge concrete hotel blocks that were meant to host corporate parties 15 years ago do not look too inviting. Covering the coastline in concrete tetrapods did not help either. Central Izu, with its mountains is much nicer. It also has gorgeous Ryokans, which are, however, well beyond the financial means of any normal human being.

It has beautifully shaped bays and rock islands, and it is far enough to have not become entirely covered in a thick layer of concrete.

The Peleliu Express at the Southern tip of Peleliu Island, where the Pacfic Ocean meets the Philippine Sea, is certainly worthy to be categorized as a "drift dive." Even the bull sharks looked stronger here.

At German Channel, you are supposed to hang out in the white sand to wait for the Manta that never shows up. A good dive for watching Garden Eels and Gobis...
